Ulrike is a pharmaceutical quality professional with over 25 years of experience in GMP and cleaning validation. During her long-standing career at Boehringer Ingelheim, she worked on cleaning validation across its full lifecycle—from global strategy and governance to hands-on execution. She led the global Competence Center for Cleaning Validation, headed a laboratory specialized in cleaning validation analytics, and regularly presented the company’s approach during regulatory, FDA, and customer inspections worldwide.
Her expertise includes the development and revision of corporate cleaning validation procedures, leadership of international expert working groups, and delivery of global training programs across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. She combines deep scientific knowledge in risk-based validation strategy, worst-case selection, acceptance limit calculation, and analytical method validation with extensive practical experience in swabbing and rinsing.
Today, Ulrike works as an independent consultant, supporting pharmaceutical companies in establishing and optimizing cleaning validation concepts—from greenfield API facilities to solid dosage manufacturing and innovative tech-driven environments. She is known for her clarity, depth, and ability to translate complex GMP requirements into robust, inspection-ready solutions.
